SIEGER SHOW PERFORMANCE TEST (for Championat class only)

Regulations: All Dobermann entered in the Championat Class have to participate at the Sieger Show Performance Test, which will be held on Sunday morning before the conformation judgments. The test includes two parts: (1) Attack on handler, and (2) pursuit & courage test.

(1) The handler with his/her Dobermann on the leash follows the directions given by the judge. The distance from the starting point of heeling to the blind will be approx. 80 feet. The actual attack will commence when the Dobermann is between 15 and 20 feet from the blind. The judge will evaluate the grip work on the sleeve. The dog should counter the attack securely and energetically in stopping the attack by the helper. "Out" is not required to pass the test, but of course is recommended. When the handler leashes the dog after the attack, the exercise is considered complete.

(2) On the pursuit of the long grip for the courage test, the handler may encourage the dog, while holding it by the collar at the basic position to initiate the release as the helper proceeds to the middle of the field to start the exercise. The handler will release the dog upon a signal from the judge. The grip work will be evaluated the same as in the attack on handler.

Dobermanns that fail the Sieger Show Performance Test cannot receive the title of Sieger or Siegerin or ADA Champion.

SIEGER 2009 TITLE will be awarded to the first classified in the "Championat class" black & red males, according to the judge's evaluation on both performance & excellent conformation.

SIEGERIN 2009 TITLE will be awarded to the first classified in the "Championat class" black & red females, according to the judge's evaluation of performance & excellent conformation.

ADA CHAMPION TITLE will be awarded in the "Championat class", according to the judge's evaluation on both performance & excellent conformation. Many ADA Champion Titles can be awarded in the same Championat class.

GERMAN ZTP certifies the quality of the breeding. The ZTP, which includes both a structural-morphologic section and a temperament test, holds what is necessary for selecting a functional Dobermann, useful for protection, family companion, and working ability. For further information & rules, please contact ADA at (425)397-7630 or americandobermann@verizon.net

CAC certificates will be awarded to the best black and red males, and best black and red females, according to the judge's evaluation. Three CAC Certificates, BH, and good hips certification are required for the title of American Champion. At least 12 months and 1 day must pass between the first and last CAC Certificate.

As non profit organization, ADA promotes and preserves the Dobermann breed in the U.S. Its principal scope is to safeguard the natural talents of the breed, as a protection, family companion, and working dog.

ADA is the only Dobermann organization in the US that fellows the standard of the country of origin of the breed (Germany), approved and adopted by FCI at No. 143/14.02.1994/GB. To best recognize the natural characteristics of the Dobermann breed as utility dog, our association organizes shows, trials, and breed surveys, according to the rules of FCI and DV.

American Dobermann Association was developed to give the opportunity to all the Dobermann friends to use the technical support and experience of the entire Dobermann community, according to the German tradition. This relationship will improve our sport activity with shows, trials, and ZTPs internationally recognized.
